A global movement seeking major political reform
The world is at a tipping point that will see us either flourish or fail as a society. Failure is almost certain with our current corrupt political system which ruthlessly serves the pocket of the richest 0.1%. What we have is an illusion of democracy and it’s oppressively harmful to the people and the planet.
Any attempts to tackle inequality, corruption, climate change, poverty, mass unemployment, and escalating global conflicts; will ultimately fail until we first achieve major political reform. We need to demand that our politicians begin to drag the political system out of the dark ages; moving us towards a collabracy that’s genuinely open and participative, adopting new platforms and process that put power in the hands of the many, not the few. Act today by signing the petition and sharing the video

The movement has three primary objectives that will lead to a collabracy enabling us to do what’s right for the people and planet not the pocket of the 0.1%.

1. Demand Change
Getting our governments to agree

Be the change you want to see in the world by signing the petition, sharing with others, and demanding change from politicians. The only things stopping us is our own inactivity

2. Build Platforms
Vote securely from your phone

Forming a community of developers to build open source secure digital voting platforms using blockchain technology and elliptic curve cryptography

3. Co-create Process
Designing a new political system

Developing process and governance to enable informed direct participation and elected representative voting on all local, national, and international issues.

NEW ERA IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Freeing ourselves of this cancerous plutocracy that serves the pocket of the wealthiest few

Plutocracy [plu-tok-racy] “a state or society governed by its wealthiest people”

Moving towards a new open political system so we can instead do what's best for the people and the planet

Collabracy [coll-ab-racy] “a state or society governed by the people through an open and collaborative political system”

OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM IS BROKEN

The system is designed to give real power to the corporations and richest 1%. Their lobbying and political funding means they get to shape every single decision and piece of legislation that is made in government. All we get is a vote every few years for two sides that typically don’t reflect your views or represent your interests.

INEQUALITY IS GROWING RAPIDLY

As a result, inequality is soaring and the richest 1% now have more than 50% of the world’s wealth. Buffet and Gates alone have more than poorest 40% of America. The combined wealth of the Forbes Richest 400 people has increased nearly 8x since the 90’s, jumping from $300bn in 1992 to $2.34 trillion in 2015. Yet inflation hasn’t even doubled over that same period and for the first time in history increases in productivity are decoupled from wages and employment. Only the richest few are seeing any real benefits.

INEQUALITY DESTROYS SOCIETIES

By almost every measure, a society’s level of inequality is directly linked to the health and well-being of that society. The countries with the least inequality like Sweden have the best life expectancy, literacy, numeracy, crime, infant mortality, mental well-being, obesity, rates of imprisonment, level substance abuse, murder, teenage pregnancy, and trust in the wider society & government. Whereas those with the highest inequality such as the US have the worst. Even the richest socio-demographic groups perform worse, but it’s the lower socio demographic groups that really suffer.

TAKEN INTO UNJUST WARS
Against the will of the people

Spilling the blood of many in pursuit of profit for a few. Leaving us with dead soldiers & debt so the 1% can get rich off interest payments, arms sales, lucrative government contracts, and oil.

BAILING OUT BANKS
Paid for by us, the tax payers
It’s criminal that low and middle income people had to bailout these mega wealthy bankers because of their own greed. Our financial system is corrupt and needs major reform
MASS MEDIA PROPOGANDA
Chasing ratings over the truth

Our news has become entertainment using fear and sensationalism to chase ratings, pushing whatever propaganda suits the pocket of the networks billionaire owners

CORRUPT LEGAL SYSTEM
Letting those with wealth hide it

Panama papers is just the tip of the iceberg with the wealthiest people and biggest corporations able to exploit loopholes to avoid paying tax leaving the burden on the workers

THE WORLD IS AT A TIPPING POINT

We are facing some almost unimaginable challenges that will see us either flourish or fail as a society.

MASS UNEMPLOYMENT
Automation could impact 47% of job categories (The Economist) creating mass global unemployment on an unprecedented scale
GLOBAL WARMING

Seeking to prevent mass extinction of species, increased deadly weather, and flooding from rising seas

GLOBAL CONFLICTS

We’re seeing an escalation of conflicts under the guise of fighting terrorism which actually breeds more terrorism.

All of these threats can be turned into opportunities that make the world a better place. But any attempts to tackle these and many other challenges; will ultimately fail until we first achieve major political reform. Establishing an open political system that serves the needs of the people and the planet, not the pocket of the wealthiest few.
